Surely, every person at least once in his life was in an awkward situation when it is not clear how to contact a female representative. In modern life, you often have to contact a stranger: in the queue in front of the cashier, in the clinic, in places of entertainment. But turning to a woman or a girl is not so easy. You can inadvertently offend a young lady by calling her a woman, or, conversely, turn to an elderly lady like a girl and look ridiculous.

What are the differences between a girl and an adult person?

From a biological point of view, one can reason as follows: a woman is a female, created for the purpose of procreation, whose body is intended for the same function. You can only call that person who fulfilled her function — gave birth to a child.

Being a girl means being in the preparatory stage. That is, to have all the characteristics of a woman, but not yet fulfill the purpose.

From a medical point of view, female representatives are treated in a similar way. A girl who has given birth to a child becomes a woman. In addition, a girl is considered one who has not yet begun to have a sex life.

It happened historically: a young lady who got married ceased to be a virgin and automatically became a woman. Now this position is also viewed with a certain tinge of social status. Often, a lady is addressed as a woman when they see a wedding ring on her ring finger.

However, these signs are not suitable for modern life. After all, many give birth to a child at the age of 16, or even earlier. In this case, it is somehow not entirely correct to call a teenage girl a mature lady. There are those who, at the age of 30, do not have children and do not even have sexual intercourse, is it appropriate to address them as a girl?

It should be noted that psychologically, between a girl and a mature lady is a long way from childhood to psychological maturity.

A girl is one who is looking for herself in various fields of activity. She just enters the social world, forms communication skills, builds some principles by which she will live. At the moment, her values are friendship and love, and her goal is to find a wonderful man, “a prince on a white horse.” The young lady often experiments with her image. She is also dependent on the opinions of friends and relatives, it is very important for her to receive attention and be the soul of the team.

A woman can be called a lady who has learned to use her own resources, who qualitatively allocates time and responsibilities, and most importantly, priorities. Independence, stability and prosperity become its values. A mature lady knows her merits and demerits, knows how to show herself from her best side, respects herself and others and knows what she wants from this life.

It can be concluded that some young girls never become women. Yes, they can be called that because of their age or the presence of children. However, few ladies have psychological maturity. But it is maturity that determines a woman.
